Meet the Choruses

The Hudson Community Choruses are three ensembles, open to different age ranges. No previous choral experience is required to join any group.

Hudson Community Chorus  (HCC)

The Hudson Community Chorus consists of an adult chorus that sings a wide variety of SATB music. They present two concerts a year - a Winter concert in December and a Spring concert in April/May. They rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings. The chorus offers singers of all levels of ability and experience the opportunity to perform quality choral music. No audition is necessary.

Hudson Community Youth Chorus (HCYC)

HCYC  is a treble choir performing ensemble for girls in grades six  through twelve, and boys in grades six through voice change. HCYC focuses on teaching singers healthy vocal technique, sight singing skills, music theory, singing in two and three part harmony in English and foreign languages, both accompanied and a cappella. Voice assessments are held for new singers in May, January, and August. HCYC performs concerts in December and April/May, as well as singing at Caroling on the Green and Akron Festival of Trees

Hudson Community Children's Chorus (H3C)

H3C is a non-audition entry level group where young singers in grades three, four, and five learn the fundamentals of choral singing. We develop vocal tone and accurate pitch, combined with the basics of singing with others in unison and two-part harmony. Singers learn repertoire in English and foreign languages. H3C performs concerts in December and April/May with the Hudson Community Youth Chorus and the Hudson Community Chorus. The group also performs at the annual Caroling on the Green in Hudson and Akron Festival of Trees.
