Who We Are
Vision- To develop a lifelong love of singing for youth in Hudson and the surrounding communities
Mission- To make a difference in the lives of youth by: learning the finest quality choral music through musicianship training in vocal technique and to experience the joy of shared musical harmony.
The Hudson Community Youth Chorus was established in September 2014 under the auspices of the Hudson Community Chorus. The Youth Chorus is for treble voices, girls from sixth grade through twelfth grade and boys from sixth grade to voice change.
The Hudson Community Children's Chorus began in September 2015 and is for third, fourth, and fifth graders in Hudson and the surrounding communities.
HCYC & H3C Membership
The Hudson Community Youth Chorus and Hudson Community Children's Chorus welcomes all students from Hudson and the surrounding communities who love to sing and have an interest in developing their vocal skills.
Non-audition voice assessments are held for new singers. Our Youth Chorus works on expanding vocal range and technical skill, sight singing, and ear training.
We work as a team to perform a diverse and challenging repertoire, collaborate with our adult choir, and perform in the community. Our Children's Chorus works on singing fundamentals through music games and friendship. Choristers will learn to sing in head voice and be introduced to solfege and sight singing, as well as perform in the community in two main concerts a year.
Fees are $75 per term or $120 per year and are due when rehearsals start. Scholarships are offered so that all interested singers are able to join the choir regardless of ability to pay.
